Some time ago, I read a praise report on Joseph Prince Ministries’ website titled Found Employment after Prayer, Hopeless Situation Turned Around. It made me shed tears because I was in a similar hopeless situation that the testimony giver had experienced. I needed a miracle in finding a job.

You see, I was confident that an institution where I did my post-graduate studies would be retaining me as one of their academic staff members. When it didn’t happen, I felt like the rug had been pulled out from under me. I started scrambling for a job, as I had no backup plan. I even had to give up my enrollment in a doctoral program. To make things worse, my country placed an embargo on employment due to a recession.

One day, my brother left his two-year-old daughter in my care while shopping with his wife. While his daughter slept all day, I felt a strong leading to pray in tongues. I also partook of the Holy Communion thrice that day.

Two days later, I felt led to call a former colleague about a group that had spoken at a conference regarding research grant opportunities for Africans in my field. When he gave me the name of the group, I found out on the Internet that evening about their call for grant proposals. The call was expiring the following day.

Long story short, I wrote and submitted my proposal overnight, and trusted God for His favor. In my rush, I missed the clause to list a research network member who would be supervising my work. Who knows what other mistakes I might have made in my submission!

While waiting for the result, I read other praise reports on Joseph Prince’s website, such as Offered Competitive Position Despite Missing Phone Interview. They were a blessing to me. I also submitted a prayer request to Joseph Prince Ministries. By the amazing grace of God, I received a phone call informing me I’d won the grant and I accepted the award letter soon after. Thank You, Jesus!

I hope my testimony will stir up faith in people who are believing God for the impossible. With God, nothing is impossible.
