I had never heard of Joseph Prince until I was on a business trip 7 years ago. My hotel had only one Christian television channel. There were only 2 half-hour broadcasts a day for the week I was working, and only Joseph Prince was on both times—same show in the morning and evening.

This was just before Easter. Joseph was showing the animation of Jesus on the cross, and the truths he shared about grace overwhelmed me. When I went home, I followed up by watching, recording, and re-watching his programs and learned so much more than I ever had in more than 40 years of church attendance.

A month later, I was diagnosed with calcium deposits in my left breast, and 2 months later, I was sent to a surgeon for treatment. During that time, I was reading the book of Proverbs daily as Joseph Prince suggested. I read Proverbs 10:24, which says, “What the righteous desire will be granted.” For the first time in my life, I KNEW I was the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and thought, This is for me! I felt the Lord asking me the desire of my heart for the situation I was facing, and I prayed out loud that the doctor would say, “This is nothing to worry about, and you do not need surgery.”

I knew the surgeon would want to operate, but I trusted God for my peace at that time. The surgeon told me the biopsy showed precancer cells, and we needed to talk. As I went to the conference room, I said in my heart, I’m trusting You, Lord, to guide me if You will heal me with surgery or supernaturally, because I knew all healing was from God!

The doctor came in with my paperwork and said, “Oh, I’m sorry. I read that wrong. It says there are no precancer cells. That means this is nothing to worry about, and you don’t need surgery unless you want the calcium deposits removed.” That was literally word-for-word what I had told God earlier, and He granted my desire!

I praise God because before hearing Joseph Prince’s teaching, I NEVER would have thought I could qualify for any of the promises for the righteous. There is NO WAY I could qualify based on my behavior or thoughts, but God qualified me through the finished work of Jesus!
