In April 2014, I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of bladder cancer. I was given a seventy percent chance of being cured. However, after the six types of standard treatments, a biopsy showed that the cancer was still present.

The doctor wanted to remove my bladder but he agreed to do another round of treatments at my insistence. Normally, there is a twenty percent cure rate the second time around, but because this cancer was aggressive, the cure rate was lower.

I have been reading Joseph Prince’s books and listening every day to his sermons about the goodness of God and how we are healed because of Jesus’ finished work. I even started to put small paper tabs next to verses that have to do with my healing. There were so many I had to stop, as I could hardly get my Bible opened!

Thanks to the gospel of grace, I started believing God’s Word and sure enough, the cancer is gone and I am now healed and whole. The Holy Spirit has shown me so much in the last three months of my illness. I got close to the Lord and now I am able to stand on His Word, knowing that His promises are really true.
