More than a year ago, my father passed away. Ever since then, I had been feeling depressed, but I didn’t want anyone know. I felt alone and sad and even wondered what the point of living was.

On Saturday morning, negative thoughts filled my mind again as I started to think about what life was before my father passed away and how I had been trying to be strong for my family despite struggling with the loss.

My family and I have always enjoyed Pastor Prince’s sermons. The next day, we tuned in to the church’s online service on YouTube.

Toward the end of the service, Pastor Prince said there were people in the service who were going through depression and contemplating suicide. He also encouraged them saying they are not alone, and God saw the burdens they carried.

When I heard that, I almost jumped out of my seat. I felt like God was comforting me and telling me that I was not alone.

It is amazing how God can use people from miles away to show me that He is near to me. Now I don’t feel alone anymore, and He is my reason and purpose for living.

It has been a tough 2 years, but my heavenly Abba is good to me, and He will help me. Thank you, Pastor Prince and New Creation Church, for spreading the gospel of grace.
