After moving to a new state all by myself, I became addicted to alcohol and my drinking spiraled out of control. I couldn’t stop no matter how hard I tried and I lost just about everything in my life.

Many people from a wonderful local church prayed for me. But I still struggled daily with my addiction and the enemy used it as an open door to further trouble my life. Things became downright terrifying for me even in my own home.

I got baptized, hoping it would defeat the enemy’s endless attacks in my life. But I felt as if as soon as I had made some progress, things would get worse than before.

One night, I was at the end of my rope, feeling alone, drunk, sad, desperate, and suicidal. I saw no end in sight and wanted to take my own life. Then, Joseph Prince’s program came on television and I sat down and really listened to his message of God’s grace.

Later, I saw a number on his program to call for prayer. I dialed it and a woman on the line listened as I broke down and told her everything. She prayed such a moving and powerful prayer for me that I felt like staying on the line forever. From that point on, I finally had the courage and strength to stop drinking. The switch of addiction in my life was finally turned off.

Thank you so much, Pastor Prince, for helping me understand the grace of God. Your messages had helped me through one of my darkest times and your program had prompted me to take that step to ask for prayer.

I’m happy to say that I have remained sober for more than three years now. I never would have gotten sober on my own. But with God, I can do all things. My life has never been better and it’s filled with joy, abundance, and provision. God has given me beauty for ashes. Praise God!

I want to share this testimony because I know that hearing or reading something like this would have helped me during those difficult times when I was feeling so alone. I hope my testimony will encourage others who are going through a similar situation.
